I was the most excited about finally having Java 6/1.6 JRE for web apps. However, I am running into an issue. The web app I am trying to use complains about the java vendor not being supported. (specifically, "Apple Inc" instead of "Sun Microsystems Inc.")

I've been trying to force/spoof this within Java Preferences (modifying the Applet Runtime parameters). I've added: -Djava.vendor="Sun Microsystems Inc.". However, the java console still reports: "java.vendor = Apple Inc.".

Anyone have a clue what I am doing wrong??
