You know, I'd seen lots of iBooks in stores, but always behind that protective screen that stores have, locked down and immovable--very unlike a laptop. But now that I've held and carried one around I have to say it is one beautiful little machine.
My son is so happy that he's put it at the head of his bed tonight so he can touch it if he wakes up in the night.
Now we've got to find a place to put the iMac that we can also connect to the ethernet hub. My house was built in the 1920s and isn't exactly the easiest place in the world to wire. Wish me luck!

Kind of brings a tear to my eye! It brings back the time (just in February) when I got my Powerbook...aaaaaahhhhhhh. Sweet memories. Enjoy!

yoyo52- why not put the iMac on the ethernet network, and intall a airport card and base station software in the iMac and an airport card in the iBook. the iMac can act as the basestation and the iBook will go anywhere (within 150 feet).....

ya. our first apple was an iBook. blueberry. so beautiful. especially sitting next to the ugly ass windows PeoplePC computer it was replacing. the day after we got that, we got a cable modem and our lives were complete. incidentally, if you want to purchase that iBook, go here: http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI...tem=1230240054
(yes, i know its a little pricey, but we need to pay for school!)
[edit] ps. the ibook sold already. woo! [/edit]

Hey people, when was the last time someone said this stuff about their lovable Dell or Compaq laptop that they bought? Did they say they loved it, put it on their bed so they could touch it, brag about it to their friends, or anything? Do people who own Dells and Compaqs actually do this stuff, or is it just us Mac users? We all GET IT...
