Anyone else have this ship date from apple.com online order? I actually changed a many times delayed order(originally ordered in Nov!) of a 15" ghz Ti over to a 17" the day of the keynote. Supposedly my ship date is 3/21, but haven't heard anything from Apple. They posted temp transaction of $41 to my apple loan account, but that's it. I suspect that that is just a test transaction.

The wait is killing me...

With about 24 hours left to go, I too have the 3/21 date with my purchase on Jan. 7th. My iCurve, PowerMate, iMic, Apple Pro Keyboard and Mouse came today. My Zip Drive and Apple Care stuff will be here on Friday. My extra 512 DIMM and Cannon S230 will be here most likely by Monday.

Tomorrow is the shipping day. I have my fingers crossed.

as of 1:30am, my order status still shows open. a quick check of my mbna apple loan status (through mbna.com), I still only have the test temp authorization for $41

I am hoping that I won't get that fateful email saying there is a delay

I was on or before 3/21 and got my shipping notice today(3/20). Mine was also an order change from a Ti I had ordered in Dec. FWIW, mine is BTO as well. good luck.

Interesting..

I originally made an employee order for a 15" on Dec 9th and upgraded to a 17" (non BTO) Jan 9th after it was delayed. I haven't recieved an est ship date or heard anything yet. But this is good news. Maybe they will ship before the days end.

Any news on your end? I haven't gotten a shipping email from Apple yet nor has the amount of the powerbook been charged to my account. I called apple and asked the status, but the girl I talked to could only tell me that it is supposed to ship out today.

My temp charge showed up Sunday morning and my shipping notice came at 2 AM Thursday. Although it began shipping the day before (taking into account the international date line) from Taiwan. It will arrive Monday.

You should be getting a notification any time now...

...and the FedEx guy just dropped off my 512 DIMM for the Powerbook that hasn't been shipped to me yet. (He also dropped off the wireless PC Card for my girlfriend's laptop that I got for her birthday on Tuesday, but that's beside the point...but does prove that I'm nice guy

So all that needs to happen now is my Connon S230 to come in, most likely on Monday. And then the ever elusive 17" to be shipped to me from Apple.

Tracking number?!?...is it just too much to ask?!?!

I've been given a 4/25 date as well. I called the King of Prussia Mall Apple Store and put my name on a list there, though I am 3-3.5 hours away from that location.

Argh....and the wait continues.

Just an update: I called the King of Prussia Apple Store Sat and put my name on a list for a 17". They called later that night and said they had one for me. Being that I live in State College, 3.5 hours away.....there was no way I could pick it up in time. So....I had my mom who lives only 30 min away, pick it up for me (Thanks Mom! You're the best!).

So, my apple.com online order is canceled.....and now all I have to do is make the trip home to pick up my 17" Powerbook.

I just received temporary authorization on my account for the full price of my 17. I ordered on Jan. 26 thru the education store and am so happy now.
