it use to burn at 2X before but now it only burns at 1X. When I am burning a DVD using Toast 5.2 the speed selection is only 1X...
My computer is a MDD Dual 1 Gig G4 running OS X 10.3.2
any suggestions?

Are you certain that your blank DVD-R media is certified 2x (or faster)?

I actually have the same issue, only I'm not certain my media is 2x certified. I'm fairly certain it is, but cannot remember for sure... I have a dual 1.0 GHz MDD G4 running 10.3.2 and using Toast Ti 6.0.3.
I'm tempted to run out tomorrow and get some certified 2x DVD-Rs just to test it out...
