Yeah, Uno reminds me so much of my cat it's insane. I'll see if I can find some pics of him 2 years ago when my wife dressed him as a pirate for Halloween.
I did stop by the pound today, just to have a look around. Found a gorgeous solid black kitten; male, 6-7 weeks, short hair, tons of attitude. But I couldn't do it, not yet. Maybe in a couple months.

The younger of our two cats has always been a bit sickly, and last night we noticed what appears to be a swollen gland on his face. I'm terrified that it's something contageous and that we could loose both of them.

When did you guys know when a certain pet was special?
I knew when I was laying in my bed, recovering from chemo. I guess he realized I was sick and I'd been losing weight, so in the middle of the day he brought me a half-dead mouse and laid it on the bed next to my pillow (so I wouldn't have to get up to eat it). That was quite a bit of awareness for a 1 year-old cat.

take him to the vet tomorrow, don't wait. It's probably nothing, but it never hurts to be cautious.

That's the plan. Fortunately a friend of ours works at the MSPCA, so we've got easy access to all sorts of resources.

I know that in English "μ" is pronounced like "mew" (which is what I think you're going for), but in Greek, "μ" is pronounced like "me."
So I'm thinking, "Name his next cat 'me?'"

I'm pretty sure that in English 'μ' is pronounced 'upside-down "h"'.
