Venice project, eh?

Why not go full hog and call it the Titanic project?

Or is this one just a slow sinker?

I could take Sean Connery in a fight... I could definitely take him.

Maybe there should be a "Dakar" rule against hijacking a thread with BS.

Or maybe he should get a trophy for making every thread 10x funnier.

Ah, damn he changed his post after I responded to it. I'll have to remember to quote him more often.

Edit hey mar, I believe Kerrigan started the derail here. Not me.

I've been in another groove again. Good to know you love me, you really do love me!

Edit: Damn I really wish I had found a good picture from The Mask to put with that.

I still feel a little guilty, but I get the feeling half the forum was goofing off at work.

(And honestly I was spent by 3)

Yep. This place is dead around break but I'm still here. Maybe I'll play some Halo. F.E.A.R. was pretty cool.

I'm not even entirely sure what Venice is. All I know is that I can't wait until BBC content becomes available on Zudeo.

The guys who brought you KaZaA and Skype are at it again...
It's just a hunch, but this is going to suck.

As for how Youtube competitors goes, I think Zudeo has the potential. No more overcompressed flash videos. It uses bittorrent but unfortunately requires Azureus. I love my utorrent.

If Venice sucks as bad as YouTube, I'll burn my Skype account in protest.

I would like to see good-looking video of things that are interesting. Not a bunch of crappy, home-made movies by slack-jawed idiots who think that lip-syncing to **** songs, sputtering on like a retard or blowing **** up with Mentos is interesting.

Has nobody here heard of Stage6?

IMHO, the best video sharing site out there at the moment. Streaming HD. Not peer-to-peer. On my DSL connection, I can stream HD with an instant start. Very high quality.

The only downside is that you need to have the DivX codec and plugin installed. I would highly advise checking it out, though. It makes YouTube look downright pathetic.

Um how powerful does the Mac need to be? A 1.33GHz iBook G4 plays this on 7 fps with serious lagging. I have a T3 line, so that isn't the issue.

At least youtube and google video play at 24fps. Note that this iBook can play way higher res/quality standalone DivX videos at full speed.

It seems to only work half decently on the Intel Macs. It works fine on slow(er) PCs though. 2GHz seems to be about the minimum. They are very highly compressed.

Uh I am pretty sure that is not WMV inside of the flash videos you see. its On2 or Sorenson.
