Anyone know if Sim City 4 will be coming to the Mac? Because I really want to try this game. And I would be really mad if EA/Maxis decided not to port it.

I tried the web site. No info yet.

Well two things are at play here: SimCity 3000 bombed on the Mac because it was such a terrible port (and dog slow even on the high end Macs at the time). Then of course, there is the The Sims, the second best selling Mac game ever (behind Myst).

If I were to bet I'd say yes, Sim City 4 will be coming to the Mac.

Hopefully, EA will license the port out to MacPlay/MacSoft/whatever.

SC3K was the worst port I've ever played. A pity, since it was an excellent game.
Be happy.

I hope so. And I hope it's really good. The game is gonna be great. Let's hope a crappy port doesn't ruin it.

don't hold your breath. EA & Maxis have turned their back on their past and don't show any real desire to support us anymore. And after getting burned so bad on SC3K I don't know if I will waste my money again on SC4K

Depends on who ports it. SC3K was ported by MacKiev (who? Yepper, that's why it was bad!). If Westlake ports it, it will be fine.
