Now, THAT'S one I haven't read since Jr. High school. I almost can't wait for my child to hit that age so I will be prompted to read all of that stuff again.
Would you like some french roast to go with that cake, ma'am?

I'm going to pull your head off because I don't like your head.

Maybe this is a bit OT but I find it pretty amusing. When I'm in Europe I enjoy sitting in a little coffee bar (my favorites are in Italy) and sipping a fresh brewed espresso. When I'm in the US and happen to sit in some kind of diner, I always get coffee out of a pot that's been sitting around for hours and the coffee smells like water with some kind of aroma. It's thin and has no caffeine!

How come a country like the US with so many Starbucks still serves such crap and calls it coffee. I mean, common, there are enogh people who know how to do it -> www.peets.com

Just discovered a Peets in Lexington center- about 5 mins from work. Mayhap I shall stop in on the way home to see what the fuss is about? Hmmmm... no Peet on the Pequod, tho... that could be a problem.

I'm going to pull your head off because I don't like your head.

"...Its only coffee". Ummm. I'm sorry. I do not recognize that particular ordering of words. What does it mean, in your country, "it's only coffee?"

That comes from the same family of expressions as:

You're making me jealous. My company just moved and there's no longer a Peet's on the way to work...

Guess I'll have to set up a coffee maker in my office.

A call from the antipodes...

The first Starbucks I've ever seen was last week on a business trip to Sydney, and the second and the third... Seven in the Sydney South East CBD! This seems somewhat exessive. I didn't try them, I guess they came with the olympics to keep US visitors supplied.

Is franchising related to viruses?

welcome again from japan, the land of coffee in a can...

one of my all time favorite japanese inventions, the coffee vending machine, which makes it possible to start your day in your favorite fashion from anywhere...

love it.
(i can get cloves, beer, and coffee in vending machines... now if i could only find a pizza vending machine, i`d never have to shop again...)

but as to real coffee?
let me tell you about my favorite coffee shop...
i`m sure someone here knows about it (i hope...)

it`s called stella`s, and it`s in ithaca ny.
great coffee, better atmosphere...
will always be all coffee shops to me.

People had so much time wasted on digging up old posts...

I do love Starbucks, Tully's, and the local D&M Coffee.

When it comes to regular coffee, I'll drink just about any brand. Iced coffee, on the other hand, you can't beat Starbucks' Iced Caramel Macchiato. It's just simply tasty.

Organic Mysore is one of the best beans ever.

Lavazza and Illy are good. But best places to get coffee in London = Portobello Coffee Shop and Monmouth Coffee Company.

For those of you on the north shore of sydney, there is a little shop called sibonis in pymble on the pacific highway. This in my opinion is the best coffee around try the romeo or millenium blend.
