This is a niggling detail, but here goes. Is the glass on your iPhone even with the chrome bezel or a bit sunken in?

On a section of the right side of the phone, I can feel a very small ridge, but around the rest of the bezel it feels level. I don't remember if it was like that when it came out of the box or if maybe it got pushed in somehow. Functionally, it still works perfectly and I <3 it .

Mine's perfect, I'm wondering if you have a 4GB or a 8GB. Makes sense that they would come off a different assembly line. I have a 4GB version (basically got that 'cause I have a 60 GB Video iPod..)

Mine is an 8GB. Interesting. Like I said, it's a very small ridge. Not even enough to really see, but you can feel it with yr thumb or whatever.

Ahahah! Oh man, why haven't I thought of this yet?

Excuse me while I go spend some "quality time" with my iPhone.

I think mine has a very small ridge all the way around, but I recall my previous 4GB model being the same.

The screen on my 8 GB iPhone definitely sits in a slightly uneven way. There is a noticeable ridge (the bezel being 'higher' than the screen) in the upper left hand corner of the phone. I'm not sure if it was like this out of the box, or if it somehow was pushed in -- I'm pretty sure that it was like this out of the box, because I baby the thing.

Does anyone know how the screen is attached to the phone?

there are some tear downs of the iPhone on the Internet that might help find out how it's attached
