I don't think you'll see any great change if any in Ti B.

Wait until Jan for Ti 2

How about a battery that doesn't fall out?

How about the fact that you have about 3" more screen but essentialy the same resolution as an iBook2?

How about the slow firewire port?

How about the crappy AirPort range/antenna?

Oops - forgot: How about the consumer model can burn cd's but the pro model can't?

These need to be addressed.

The Pro laptop shouldn't be outdone by the Consumer version yet cost nearly 2x as much. It might be more cost -effective to run serious apps on 2 networked, clustered ibooks than 1 titbook - and it'll STILL be cheaper!

I wouldn't hold my breath. If I was a betting man, I would bet that Apple does nothing to the Titanium and the iBook. Apple could easily prove me wrong, but I just dont see it happening.

My sig is 1 pixel too big.

You guys all think that their will be no update at all on the powerbook? Sure they could leave it, but they won't.

Please Apple don't prove me wrong

I certainly hope they at least make some minor updates - like speed and HD. If they just did that, that wouldn't be a RevB, just an update to RevA right?

I think Apple should do something as there are a lot of people who are going iBook because the specs look very attractive for half the price. Apple needs to make the Ti a little more attractive, so people will say "Ok...I'll spend a little more and get the Ti".

I'd love to see a revision, but the rumor sites are doubtful, and there is apparently solid inventory on current models, which is rare on the eve of an update.

So my bet is Paris in September....but I'd like to be wrong.

AAAAAPPPPPPPPLLLLLEEEEE!!! Hello, are you listening?
We've seen it, we like it, but its a little like the future in beta a little too much. The processor needs bumping, so does the graphics chipset and those 48Gb IBM's would be a welcome BTO addition, that and a higher pixel count screen to make the ti into a real pro's piece of kit.

Come on, you guys, we know Paris is gonna be a software only event, but please release the Ti2/b/whatever at MWNY! I want to buy one for my final year at uni before term starts!!! I just hope that if it ain't now then it had better be soon!!

Any while I'm here, why the secrecy? There's no secrecy in the PC arena or with any of the peripherals manufacturer's what are you running here you guys? Give the people what they want, or at least tell them when its coming! Don't con them into buying old products when they're hanging on for the next great thing!
Some men see things as they are and say why?
I dream things that never were and say why not?

Bzzzzzzz...

Wrong... Sorry for those who waited, but it was not in the cards. Nothing comes out one Macworld, then gets updated in 6 monthes...

Me personally, I'll keep using my Color Classic until Apple comes out with a duel 2ghz G6 Plutionium laptop, with a super duper drive, a 32" LCD screen and a 2 week battery life. Anyone who buys any less is obviously a sucker.

My sig is 1 pixel too big.
