Sorry if this is a rather elementary question, but I use the mail.app for my IMAP account and was wondering if there was a way to archive all my messages onto my harddrive so that when I eventually lose my account (it is my alumni account at my prior school which gives me 50mb) that I can still have a back-up of all my old mails? Haven't been able to figure out how to do it as of yet.

Thanks in advance

Select all messages in mailbox.
Option-drag to local mailbox.
Let go.

That should do it, I think.

You might want to duplicate your folder structure locally, if you have one.
