Like many have mentioned here I too having problems since updating OS:

Reboot takes for ever on Restart. Seagate firewire drive no longer mounts
on initial startup or restart, have to manually switch external drive on
and off, then will mount. Inserting music CDs for importing to iTunes never
mounts on desktop. Couldn't eject until, I did a complete reboot. Trying
to re launch finder creates complete system hang. Should I just do a
archive and install and get my 20 Alum iMac back to 10.5 and just live
with the hanging trash empty bug?

Why do people usually jump to blame the OS for serious problems instead of realizing that it's likely their particular installation or computer at fault?

Do an Archive and Install, then update to 10.5.2. If you still have a problem after that then start troubleshooting your hardware.

We have a couple threads on upgrade woes already, including posts about fixing them. I don't see how this deserves its own thread.
