Genetic Saving and Clone, which says it is using a new technique, has orders for five more cats and hopes to produce a total of 50 by the end of next year.

Just another money making scheme.

Ah, yes; as the commercialization of denial begins...

Lady, I feel for you, but cloning your cat is not going to bring it back.
You are in Soviet Russia. It is dark. Grue is likely to be eaten by YOU!

She's probably one of those ladies with 800 cats.

Get a mutt cat and you'll be fine.

Clone a dog to eat it.

Maybe someone can p'chop this kitten into the "Everytime you masturbate" photo. Or does "God" spare cloned kittens when you masturbate?

I don't think 50 cats will make much difference.

The idea is that it would be better to try and help the existing homeless cats, rather than leave them out to die.

IIRC Dolly had about 1/2 the life expectency of a 'regular' sheep, and had complications from advanced aging (like arthritis) when she was put down. Presently, old DNA yields old clones, because of naturally occuring background radiation mutating/degrading dna (or something along those lines). So this lady forked out 50 large for a messed up cat that's probably gonna die in 6 to 8 years. Some people have too much money and too little sense.
Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!

It would be kind of a waste if the cat got run over by a car or something, considering the price tag for the cat : $ 50,000.00

Most of them are probably better off on the street.
