Google

VS.

MSN Search

Which one do you prefer?

I say that Google is going to continue to rule the search world. The interface for MSN Search is so...Microsoft, if you know what I mean.

Any other opinions? Is the search more thorough under Google or MSN?

Whaddya think?

That's a high quality comparison right there...

Because, you know, there's no way Google's 875,000 could be higher quality results than MSN's results.

And, because, you're going to make it more than a few pages into search results before all relevancy is lost and you stop well before you make it to 200

fwiw, googling on my name used to bring my site up as the first result. now, after its anti-blog-spam changes and other finagling to its algorithm, google has me stashed away on the 6th page of results. msn search has me up within the first 5 results. point msn.

Yeah, I ran some more tests and found that although MSN returns several times more results, the majority are entirely irrelevant. In fact, google seems to return more relevant results. This may be because you have to spend about an hour digging through all of the meaningless search results for a single relevant page (using MSN). Also, if you search for a really long string on random, unrelated words on MSN, you seem only to get wordlists made for crackers or something.

Okay, I read your first post wrong. I apologize for the condescending remark.
