I am at work right now, so speed I will have to check. I am leaning towards 7200, but I will look again when home. It is a 3.5" (I wish they made 250gb 2.5" drives, that would rock)

As per trades, I don't really have anything in mind, but if you have something useful I might go for it. Things I can think of would be pismo or imac(isight rev g5) ram, a semi-large 2.5" drive, etc.

I've got a brand new (open, never installed) Travelstar SATA 80gb 2.5 5400rpm hd if that's something of interest.

Hey, y'know what dsm, I REALLY appreciate your thread crapping. It is FANTASTIC. Can I have your address to send you a thank-you card?

Anyhow, on a more serious note, techound, I would be interested in that drive.

That is not really thread crapping if they really go for that cheap new and sealed. But I am very doubtful of that, you could maybe get a piece of crap 250Gb HD for $60 new.

Well that's what I mean. I have no problem with someone throwing out a promotion showing how there are maxtors somewhere for a better price. I am all for a good deal
Someone newer to the boards who appears to just want to bring this thread down for no real reason though, just frustrating and a bit of a pet peeve. That is all

All that said, it is a Maxline Plus, 7200rpm drive, for further clarification.

Yeah, let's trade! I've got a stable full of lappy drives but need a larger one I can use as a on-the-desk backup. PM me when you get a chance and we'll wrap this tread.
