The local Apple store is a bit of a drive for me and I'd really rather not wait until I got home to test out my machine after I pick it up. Do they let you open it and test it in the store? So far I have heard reports of whining power adapter, bumping surface textures, poor mouse button clickers, and a few other things. If I can, I'd like to open it up and play with it at the store for a bit to make sure it's good, make sure it doesn't have any dead pixels, etc. Do they let you do that?

You can open it, but I believe it will still be subject to a restocking fee if there is nothing "out of spec"

You can open it up after you buy it.
