My SCSI hard drive is dying in my PM8500, can I put an IDE card in the machine and boot up off a drive on the IDE bus?
I would not have any drives on my SCSI bus.

I tried an Acard when they first came out last year. It worked for a while then died. Before it died tho, the drive was bootable. I sent the card back and waited to put the drive in my G4 which I got a few months later. Hopefully they have the bugs smoothed out by now.
Good luck Scott
