If I start iChat AV by itself, it does not connect. I get a message that says, "The specific host cannot be located." However, if I login to an AIM account on AIM and then open iChat AV, the iChat AV will make the appropriate connection. It is as if the AIM is "opening the door" for the iChat AV to make its connection.

What gives? I don't mind opening AIM before opening iChat AV, but there must be some error here that could be corrected.

Am running Panther on a 450 MHz iMac. ADSL connection with a router. Firewall is off. The appropriate ports in the router are open. Both AIM and iChat AV connect through login.oscar.aol.com, port 5190 (at least that is what is says in the preferences).
