I thought I'd share my started christmas theme. If someone could tell me how to make cool back and forward buttons that would be great. When i copy them out and paste them in photoshop they get black corners. And i see no mask area in ThemeChanger.
You can also contact me if you want to work with it to create a better version.

Lookin' good!
Drag from ThemePark to desktop, open in Photoshop.
Photoshop is very lame in that it doesn't pull transparency off of the clipboard.

Maybe you might wanna consider changing the Apple bit in the menu bar to a bigger and nicer looking snowflake or something, instead of having the snowflake on the Apple.

The brush part of the theme shows way way to much red in my opinion. The menu bar isnt green enuff, way to light. I don't like the apple icon in the menu bar either. The contrast in the widgets are cool tho, I recommend making the X red and the 2 other widgets ( - + ) at the top left green. The yello kinda sticks out. Other then that, its a beautiful theme. Im loving it and using it now. Just needs a bit of tweaking. Thanks for the effort, i was wanting a christmas theme very much.

I'm glad you like it. The new theme has much darker green and red areas. A new apple and new menus. But that's just the start. I have to pass it on to my friend and we'll see what he does about the brushed metal. It'll probably go away and be replaced with a solid color.
But thanks for the great review!!

Update Files (yes files!)
There is the solid theme and a striped theme. Let me know what you think. I'll also see if i can send them to Resexcellence and MacUpdate. Depending on responses here.

You can get emailed each time a new ShapeShifter theme gets released and posted to MacUpdate.
You simply sign-up as a MacUpdate Member (which is currently free). Then go to your Watch List, and add in the KEYWORD "shapeshifter".
Simple! Enjoy.

The update looks nice. I've been using the stripes version for a week or two now. I've wanted to use the solid version, but a few things keep me from doing so:
1) Handling of brushed metal: The bright white is very distracting. Something a bit more subdued, maybe a nice light blue, would be nicer.
2) The dark text. Black text on a dark green background is very hard to read.
Stripes is a great theme, and Solid as just 2 steps away from greatness. I really appreciate you making a christmas theme.

Well i'm glad you like the themes. I'll try to update the black text on dark green. It's hard to figure out what text color is going to change what in themepark.
And maybe i'll think about changing the white brushed metal. Not sure what to do there yet.

Hey, I forgot all about that old slapstick theme I made. I had thought of making a new Christmas theme for this year, but I didn't have the time needed to create a new one when I learned of ShapeShifter's release. I did think about updating the old theme, but I chose not to. It was originally made for OS 10.0 but I quickly copied the work from the 10.0 extras file to the 10.1 extras file since 10.1 was released at about the same time I finished up the theme. Hopefully, I can use the next few months to create a much higher quality theme for Christmas 2004 than the old Christmas 2001 version.
