Hi, I'm going to buy the new iMac 20"; one of my favourite games is World of Warcraft that now runs fine on my PC. Is there anybody that can tell me how run on the new iMac (FPS)?
Thank you

i was in the beta and i was running it on my g4 1.25ghz 15" powerbook. it ran very well. i have not tested it on my 17" iMac g5 1.8ghz, but i am sure it runs perfectly fine.

It will run, but it will not run flawlessly. Get another 512 megs of RAM for a good performance boost (plus with 2x512 the RAM will run in dual channel mode).

See http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/bo...c-tech-support for some more info on how to speed up mac performance.

You will never encounter a problem with WoW on an iMac.

Since it's essentially the same computer, how well do you think my single 1.8ghz G5 with 1gb Ram and a 64mb 9600XT will run WoW.

I hardly ever post on these forums, but browse almost everyday. Over that period of time I have come to the conclusion powertrippin should be punched in the face.

I was running on my pb 1.25 768mb of ram. It ran really well, but people have said they noticed a HUGE difference when there was 2gb of ram on board. I was suggest a min of 1gb ram for WoW. The upcoming patch is supposed to fix some memory problems, so hopefully we will see a slight improvement.
