iTunes' Discovery Download last week (10/18-24) was Hayley Westerna.
Throughout the week I was NEVER able to download the file.
The message I got after entering my password to "buy" the free song was:
"Purchase of this item is not currently available. This item is being modified. Please try again later"?
using iTunes 6.0 (17) if it matters.
This was never corrected to my knowledge, and numerous other posts on Apple's Support Discussions board confirmed my trouble.
For the record, been able to successfully get free downloads before, and after (got this week's today)...
Did ANYONE successfully get this particular track through iTunes as a free song?
Oddly enough, there were no official responses to people's Discussion forum threads, nor others' emails to Apple concerning the problem.
I wonder if it was a technical problem on my end, the store's end, or just that they weren't actually authorized/able to offer it for free so just kept it up as a place holder???
Please let me know your experiences with this particular track. Thanks
