Hey guys,
A friend of mine need Corel Draw on her Mac. I've read it's kind of outdated or something like that. If she gets Illustrator, would she be able to import all her documents created on CD?
TIA,

What version of CorelDRAW? What version of Illustrator? Does she have access to having the CorelDRAW files (re)saved in other formats for optimal conversion?
A few years ago, the best solution was to save the CorelDRAW file(s) as CorelDraw 10 files, which Illustrator (at the time CS2) can open natively, though with loss of some advanced functions. [ source]
Not sure if that’s changed a lot since then, but this “Migrating from CorelDRAW to Illustrator” PDF from Adobe would seem to indicate that it hasn’t, particularly.

'Kind of outdated' is such a compliment.

Ugh. Se hesitated for a while whether or not switching over to a new program was the adequate thing to do. I installed Corel Draw 12 on VMware. Not the logical thing to do, but what the hell.
Thanks for the feedback,
