I went to my local coffee shop today, which has a wireless network, and to which I have always been able to connect to, with my 4th gen. powerbook. Today, however, I discovered that the coffee shop had encripted their network, and gave me a password to enter when requested by my powerbook. The problem is that the powerbook would not log on to the network, even with the password. I kept getting a message that there is a problem logging on to the network. There were three windows machines in the shop at the same time, and they all were logging on w/o a problem.

Can someone tell me the secret to logging on to an encripted network, when you have the password?

Thanks. It was a 26 character hexadecimal password, but I did not use the $ sign, so maybe that was my problem. I will try and see.
