Software maker
Chronos is planning to launch a new desktop publishing and printing product, aimed at unifying various types of projects -- greeting cards, labels, CD jewel cases, certificates, fax covers, photo collages, name badges and many others -- into a single product with an emphasis on beautifully-designed templates and high-quality graphic elements,
called PrintLife. The new software for OS X 10.7 and later is set to launch on July 5, and will sell for $50 -- but can be pre-order for the next week for half off the retail price.
"Gone are the cheesy clipart graphics and corny templates," the company says in a statement on PrintLife. The package, which includes more than 150 templates for print projects of all types, also features 145 "Scrapkits" of high-resolution (300dpi) graphics taken from the company's
iScrapbook product totalling more than 5,100 individual graphics. The program supports some 3,200 or more paper stocks, including labels and other print products from Avery, PaperDirect, Neato, Dymo, APLI and Formtec. It can be used for letterhead, gift tags, contact summaries, raffle tickets, activity lists, flyers, posters, file folder tabs, invoices, invitations, envelopes, menus and many other specialized print projects.
The program comes with a total of 7.9GB of artwork, templates and tutorials, and supports all popular laser, inkjet and color laser printer models. Pre-orders for PrintLife can be purchased at half price ($25 for a single copy, $45 for a family pack) by entering "print2013"
when ordering. The offer runs through June 13.
