I am currently in the drool stage about the Black Macbook.... but the GPU holds me back.

I have read a few places that the WoW performance under bootcamp/windows is not entirely horrible. This would not be my main machine for gaming, but I would like the ability to do so if needed.

anyone run WoW on this particular machine with a healthy amount of ram in windows?

how does it fare?

Go this route:

Refurbished MacBook Pro - 1.83GHz Intel Core Duo

15.4-inch TFT display with 1440x900 resolution
1.83GHz Intel Core Duo with 2MB shared L2 Cache
667MHz frontside bus
512MB (single SO-DIMM) 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM
80GB 5400rpm Serial ATA hard drive
Slot-load SuperDrive (DVD±RW/CD-RW)
ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 with 128MB GDDR3 memory

Price: $1,549.00

$50 more for a machine that will destroy the Macbook in every way.

The machine he reccommends should do very nicely for current games.

That MBP is 1499 at an Apple Store now, if you can find one. Refreshed, not refurbished.

I know, I just REALLY like the form factor and color, damn apple for crippling it....but if they put a decent vid card in it, then it would be a Macbook Pro =/

so does anyone use a Macbook under bootcamp for WoW and can give me some performance numbers?
