Yeah it does theme all windows, but only titlebars. I'm not planning on changing buttons and scrollbars etc because I think they are just ugly...

Good grief!

Are you trying to give Steve Jobs a heart attack or something (far less likely for a vegan, but that's one hell of a shock to the system).

10 out of X for effort though.

Only got one sn# at work, so when someone else is using it I switch to classic Office. Lately Office v X stopped working completely... Shows the splash screen then unexpectedly quits! Works in root account though..

Very nice! I really like it, actually, even though I dislike the real Luna...

I haven't used a theme since 10.0.4, but if you release that, I'll give it a go

Why would you want to turn Aqua into a bad rip off of Aqua on purpose?

P.S. The skull icon is for reading pirated serial numbers.

That means he doesn't pay for all his shareware.
It is to read the Surfers Serials database. Well known to all the Carracho and Hotline users.

PS. I don't blame him. There is just too much shareware I use. I simply cannot afford it after my G4.

Wow, i just used it and it is absolutely fabulous.
I suggest you hook up with the guy from the BeOS and NeXT themes. I'm sure you could improve each others themes even more. The login panel from this one is a dream. But i would like a few more custom icons though. RIP on.

Hmm... maybe I shouldn't have included the dock in the screenshot..
Oh, and I just think it cool to have skull in the dock

We're already "hooked up", we help each other out with theming problems.. He helped me with the text colors for example. I have more icons from XP, but I don't think they look very good. The trash, computer and network icons are the best looking and they are all included.

I'm assuming you used the original resource files from the Luna scheme, but if you didn't, I've got them if you want a copy (in TIFF format).

odd - looks like for cocoa apps the text is black on the blue title bars, even though it's white in carbon apps...

that white titlebar text, does it work in everything or just carbon apps? i thought it was currently impossible to change the text colour (and font/size) in cocoa apps.

But otherwise it look very well-done. Maybe soon I'll try it after I get used to BeOS theme (love it too much )

I agree it looks nice as is.. but if you're going to do a copy I hope you make it a complete copy, not a half aqua/half luna deal. Your classic platinum was great because you could completly switch out of aqua, it'd be cool if this one was like that too.

You're going to change the rest of the elements too right? Like the popups, progress bars, tabs, finder toolbar and icons? Or is this just for kicks?

Blasphemer! Get thee to [your local Apple retailer] and confess!

Well executed, mind you...
"Of course the people don't want war. But after all, it's the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger."

I wanted to try the theme. No luck.
This is what happens.
I download and the file is unpacked. First time the the .theme file looked OK, (the next attempt, it looked like an ordinary folder). Tried dragging it into duality. Nothing happened. Tried adding the theme trough duality. then get the message not a valid theme format or something. The folder containing the theme changed to a ordinary folder, then download 2 where it also looked like a folder. What is wrong? any one else who had success or failure?

It's funny, but of all the themes out there, I think that this one actually works best with Aqua's transparency and shadows.

b00zo, you could use the scrollbars i emailed you, and have them activated only when the user chooses "graphite" in the prefs. i actually like the XP bars better than the gumdrop stuff. that's the reason i started on mine to begin with.

Three suggestion to even improve this theme:

Change the Apple Menu to "Start" Menu. It seem that you can change the width size since swizcore is able to change it in BeOS theme.

Merge both "silver" and "blue" in one theme and make "silver" as a graphite mode. So if you got fed up with blue, you can always go to silver without downloading another version

Make the dock background color to blue
It'd be nice if you are able to finish the theme

This is pretty much impossible to do well. The problem is that the blue and the graphite options share a number of elements (ie they share inactive background scroll bar elements). So it's impossible to have to completely different themes toggled with that system preference.

umm.. I went looking for more of XP's default "wallpapers".. (because this theme just doesn't look right without them), found a site that had zips but only in 800 x 600..

fyi here's that link: http://pcdesktops.emuunlim.com/wallpapers01-05.shtml

Does anyone know where I can get them full size, because some are kinda nice and I might use a couple. I generally run my monitor at 1600 x 1200 or 1280 x 1024.

The 800x600 versions are the full-size ones. Windows actually seems to be better at scaling desktop pics than the Mac (I noticed this on OS 9 as well). What I did was to scale the pic in Photoshop to the desired resolution and use that as Photoshop makes a better job of it than OS X.

As said, thats the original. Scale them in GraphicConverter and they will look nice.

-->Boozoo
Great theme! I too are not very fond of XPs icons, so please don't integrate more of them. The color of the windows is a bit pale. XP has a bit more of yellow/brown in it. New scrollbars would be nice, if possible. Also a solution to the black text in cocoa apps, for the sake of consistency would be good. Not to mention a way to install/uninstall the *.menu-apps. Can this be done by terminal commands inserted in themepacker? If so, I know the necessary commands. I don't know themePackers capacitys though. Anyone with a clue on this?
Please, whatever you do, don't add anything that will not be put back when one decide to switch to aqua again.

Keep up the good work Boozoo!

The dock cannot be a color and text colors, layo changes, new pixmaps only apply to Carbon apps. The only solution is too make the text black across the board.

Yeah, since the white text only works in carbon apps, maybe instead of blue, do the silver one, which has black text anyways.. *shrug*

Well, you can replace the original ones located in '/System/Library/Core Services/Menu Extras' with the ones included with the theme.

Or, if you prefer, you can just command drag the current ones off the menu bar and the enable the new ones by double clicking them.

I installed the theme a few minutes ago, and i think it's very well done! in fact the blue Luna interface combines ,IMHO, just fine with the rest of the Aqua resources. Despite that, i am also interested in seeing a more complete Luna theme with buttons, scrollbars and more icons. White text in Cocoa would be cool, but i think it's not possible.

Kudos to bOOzo for his 'port'-theme!

...and please bOOzo, make a variation with the Luna metallic look!

While I'm not a fan of Luna, this seems to be a very nice start on bringing a Windows look to OS X. Nice job. And in response to a recent comment, the background of the dock can be made any color desired by replacing the correct file in the dock's resources. But I'm still sticking with Aqua Goodness

Thank you. It looks a lot better with the white than the black.

I must say this is a very nice theme. I would like to see the apple icon white, instead of green. I know XP has the whole green look, but...I think it's ugly, but besides that, it's really great.
Are you working on a Metallic theme now? Now, that would look great.
