This is actually fairly consistent with my regular routine.

Sure. Anyone can. It just tends to have some rather unfortunate long-term effects on your health if you keep it up for years and years.

1. I watch Seinfeld on DVD every single night, all in order, disc by disc, season by season. When the episodes are done, I watch them with commentary (when available). Then I exhaust the other special features and move on. I've watched through the series maybe seven or eight times. I can't sleep without it playing.
I did this with Gilmore Girls for several years straight. The commentary (on the few eps where it was available) and special features sucked, so I'd just start over once I finished the seasons I owned.
Looking back on it, I was suffering from pretty debilitating depression at the time, and watching that damn show over and over was an escape from reality for me. Not that this is what your Seinfeld watching means, it's just what it was for me. I don't watch GG nearly as frequently as I used to. Before I got on Cymbalta last December, my obsessive TV shows of choice were Futurama and The Office (which, fortunately, has awesome commentary and special features).
My bedtime routine these days is generally pretty simple: take off clothes, get in bed, play DS games or browse the web with the boyfriend until I'm tired enough to fall asleep. Make "your mom" jokes where appropriate in the course of the evening. Rinse and repeat.

It's the way nurses work. 12 hour shifts are the norm (though they are NOT conducive to the best possible care), and they traditionally start at 0700 or so. But after a 12 hour shift and a bite to eat, you MUST do something intellectually stimulating-plus there's lots to catch up on, and stuff you may have to take care of. So no, we don't get 8 hours of sleep a night, but we also don't do this every single night...

I venture to suggest that my routine is unique:
11:00 AM. Wake up. Caffeine. Nicotine. BBC Podcast.
11:30 AM. Ablutions. More coffee while I read on-line news, check email, etc.
12:00 PM. Cycle with dog. Training session.
1:00 PM. Arrive home with dog. Eat "breakfast."
1:30 PM. Read until 3:00.
3:00 PM. Shower and get ready for work. Eat "lunch."
4:00 PM. Arrive at work.
6:00 PM. Walk home for 1 hour break. Take dog outside to do business.
7:00 PM. Back at work.
9:00 PM. Finish work.
9:10 PM. Eat dinner. Take dog outside to do business.
9:30 PM. Take dog out for second cycle and training session.
10.30 PM. General farting about and consumption of alcoholic beverages.
11:00 PM. Read or watch movies until almost 3:00 AM.
2:50ish AM. Snacky-poohs, drinky-poohs and pre-Beddy-byes audiobook.
3:00 AM Beddy-byes.
And repeat.

Stop smoking. I used to smoke one before getting in the shower (thats before caffeine)- I know the need.
I haven't touched a ciggie since the 6th of Jan.

Until last week, I was a career firefighter who had a painfully predictable schedule. I worked every third day, getting up at 5a.m. to accomplish what I needed to do in preparation for work. I took a shower the same way every day, I shaved the same way every day. I brushed my teeth the same way every day and I even flossed in the EXACT same manner every day.
Everything I did was calculated so that when completed, I had nearly an identical amount of time left before I departed for work. It was really sort of creepy, now that I think about it, yet it brought comfort.
I left that career (after 15 years of being a firefighter/paramedic), and I'm now starting up my own business. Things aren't quite as "structured" for me, since I now work from home, and the fact that my wife sits right next to me with HER work-from-home job doesn't make matters better when we can talk about matters at the moment we have the thoughts.
Anyway, I'm trying to adjust to a bit more of a "hectic" daily routine where I'm not sure ahead of time how or where things are going at a 100% level anymore.
Oh yes, and I DO have OCPD tendencies, and that certainly helps things.

Personally, I've never suffered from OCD. However, I would like to point out that it should be referred to as CDO... with all the letters as they should be, in alphabetical order.
