What's the difference (other then price)
between Final Cut Express, and iMove. I know I cannot afford and FCP but I don't know what features the express has or doesn't have and how it stacks up to iMove.

I'm a casual user of iMovie but I am beginning to use it more now.

my buddy has the latest final cut pro (cuz hes a rich bastard...hmph) and i would choose that over iMovie ANY day. it has so much more otions when it comes to transitions, video quality editing and sound enhancements. i'm not sure what the dif between his Pro and the Express is, but pro is amazing.

One of the things I like aboue Final Cut Express (FCE) is that it allows you to use 8 audio tracks. It doesn't integrate as well as iMovie does with the iApps but other than that there are more features that I have yet to still play with.

I think FCP is for the people who are like hardcore movie makers and are avid about it.

I like iMovie. It gets the job done.

I'm not looking for FCP but the express vs. iMovie. So far, iMovie seems to fit the bill, and I have not too much use for additional audio tracks though I could probably utilize them on any given project.

What other diff. exist betweeen FCP express and iMovie

I think iMovie has a video clip length limit that is only a few minutes long. Wish I knew more....
