Didn't install any strange software and no hardware changes lately.

Recently (and still) I have been experiencing Kernel Panics when my computer comes out of sleep and randomly. I have fixed permissions through various methods, but the crashes are still happening.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Yes. You can do something termed an Archive and Install which will install a new system but preserve your user folders etc (and also preserve the old system in case you need to dip into it to fish out e.g. third party browser plug-ins, etc). Your boot camp partition is independent of an OS install (though you might need to re-install the Boot camp app itself afterwards).

I have the same problem. An interesting thing is that it only happens with an Apple supplied battery in place. If you remove the battery or use a battery from Fastmac (of which I have 2), you won't get a KP. Odd.

Ok, so I thought it over and it appears I did install a new piece of software, but it's not on the laptop.

I have about 8 things plugged into the wall and made a new addition as of late, the ps3. The outlet is crowded with a desk lamp, pc, a 20" monitor, external hd, printer, Klipsch speakers (w/ sub), laptop, cordless phone, and probably something else I don't remember.

The laptop started to have panics when I had the ps3 plugged.

I'm testing the laptop on an unused outlet and waiting to see if there are anymore panics.
