Wow, what a union of Pulp fans. I clicked on it because I thought you were talking about the old style pulp fiction mags. Well, whatever. Good luck with that band thing though.

I'm very fond of Pulp. I would suggest that anyone who likes them check out old Kinks and Roxy Music - that's where a lot of it comes from.

Pulp is one of the best bands ever. Babies, Razzmatazz, Help The Aged, and of course I Spy ("beating a path, beating a path to the corners of your eyes!")... they have a million wonderful songs!!!! I love that Scott Walker produced the new album, and I can't wait to see if I might finally get to see them on tour in N.A.
Frankly, I don't wish them Radiohead success at all. I still feel very uncomfortable seeing corderoy flares in the Gap and thinking, in '93 and '94 those were so indie, and now the same look is sooooooo mainstream.
But who can really ever get enough of Jarvis?
Mac users? Mis shapes? Phwoooaaarrr!!

When you were young and your heart was an open book, you used to say "live and let live."
But if this ever changing world, in which we live in, makes you give in and cry, say "live and let die."

Damn, I thought this would be about who likes the pulp in their orange juice (none of that no, little pulp crap). O well.
Band sounds pretty good though.

Pulp... hmm... alright...
Oasis... okay...
Blur... a little better...
Gene... still a little too "Morrissey", but they're improving...
James... you're getting closer!
SUEDE! The BEST BRITISH BAND TODAY.
Maybe (maybe) it's the clothes they wear... the tasteless bracelets or the die in their hair, but whatever it is, Suede kicks ass. And they're incredible live, too.

Oh... and on the topic of Oasis, did you know that Liam Gallagher was a roadie for one of the best bands ever -- The Inspiral Carpets? Really! Spacked out Liam in the back of a tour bus with Clint Boon and his legendary organ (not that kind of organ, you sickos!)
I hear Clint released an awesome solo album (under the original name "The Clint Boon Experience" ) after the band split up, but I can't find it anywhere.
Ahh... whatever happened to the REAL Manchester?
The Buzzcocks, then The Smiths, Joy Division, The Hacienda, Factory Records, Durutti Column, ACR, then the Inspirals, New Fads, 808 State, Happy Mondays, Stone Roses, Black Grape...
At least I can go back home now and listen to the new New Order record again!!!
And I know they're not from Manchester, but the latest Stereo MCs record is vintage Manchester-inspired trash. Good stuff.

Nice to see some ppl are still listening to quality indie, don't forget all you pulp dislikers that Jarvis Cocker is more rock and roll then most of these wannabees like eminem and Durst, Jarvis gave the full moon to michael "whatcha kids" Jackson at the Brits awards, was that in '96? fork knows, anyway, cheers for replying? Anyone like this song though that don't know Pulp? Sorry the download is slow, but I didn't realise being on a modem...
Ciao and Cheers

Hey, cool! It's good to hear they're coming out with a new album. Thanks for the link too, Niubi.
