I am trying to add a dictionary to Mail for spell checking, but more specifically, I want to add a German dictionary so when my wife types letters, it won't be red everywhere. I'm sure the users in Germany have a German dictionary included.....maybe I should email Lemke software...that guy seems pretty cool from past conversations
Does anyone know how to add a Dictionary, in general? I can worry about the German part after figuring out part A first.
Thanks

Check out the /User/(yourname)/Library/Spelling directory - I have a file called English that has all the words I have added to my speller. Each word is separated by a space. You could try putting a text file of all your words in here (calling it English). I wouldn't call it german or whatever, because that probably only is used it your set the OS language to that language.

If you don't want to enter a whole bunch of words all at once, simply control-click on the red underlined word, and select the Learn Spelling option from the contextual menu. This will add the word to the space delimited English file.
