Hi all

I'd rather not describe (and relive) the experience, but this is clearly not a pretty sight...

Oddly, everything except the home button works fine. Screen not cracked. Essentially, the whole thing is bent and port no longer accessible (although the actual connection inside seems fine).

I understand you can pay Apple for a replacement (I was quoted something like £270), but I understand this might count as 'beyond replacement'.

Does anyone have any advice from actual experience?

Many thanks

Wow. I know you want to describe what happens, but inquiring minds want to know. That's impressive. Totally bent out of shape, but with an intact screen.
