I have a macbook I like because its quieter than desktop PCs. Is Imac quiet for a desktop PC? Mac mini's fan was noisy when it spun up also it wasn't ventilated well.

Current iMacs have a reputation of being very quiet.

The G5 iMacs not so much. Idle they're ok, but as soon as you put load on them they tend to get somewhat noisy.
