(I have core2duo mac mini) I almost max out my cpu while web browsing. Would it feel much faster if I upgraded to a quad core imac?

My 2011 i7 MBP with SSD feels faster web browsing than my 2006 C2D MBP does. However I personally would not make such an expense just to improve web browsing.
And before you buy an iMac make sure you can tolerate the glare from the glossy display.

Of course the iMac will smoke the Mini and get one of these to counteract the glare:

Yes, but I would start by upgrading Safari and Flash as far as they go and then install ClickToFlash.

The new Mac Pro has up to 30 MB of cache inside the processor itself. That's more than the HD in my first Mac. Somehow I'm still running out of space.

So funny! My Asus monitor hurts my eyes already, I didn't know these were so bad! Mac computers don't make sense for me. ie. new mac mini has no dvd drive., no bios, very noisy powermac fans.

Yes, but I'd just install an SSD and if necessary, more RAM, in the Mac mini.

This, though I would recommend using Chrome, Safari is a dog on my C2D iMac. Blocking flash adds from auto-loading improves browsing speed immensely.
