Okay, I was just messing around with taking multiple screenshots of my desktop, each time opening that new screenshot so I have a desktop inside of desktop and so on.

My results...

Then I got the idea of taking a snapshot of someone's desktop with a new file or folder there or something, and then erase that file/folder, and place that image as the desktop picture. It would perfectly line up and everything, the question I'm asking is, do you think it would fool anyone?

I don't know if Safari does it, but I know that Internet Explorer will go into Theater mode. If you took a picture of their desktop, and linked it to an html document and when they opened up the html document, they'd get a full screen of the picture of the fake desktop.

Well... apparently I stumbled upon the past.

But it DOES work, right? See, I could probably still have fun with it. I'm not the only one who doesn't own the book, hence not the only one who knew it was the oldest trick in it.

Sorry for bringing up ancient history everyone.

It's funny how long that passed as a mystery, even though it was pretty obvious

edit- now I'm going to make my own lame joke referencing Erik's lame joke: jeez would somebody kill that cricket?

That is AWESOME! Especially since I've experienced the horror of a cracked screen and know how bad it will suck. More to mess around with people, thanks

I put a picture of the creepy mother (that was in that video) from the movie The Ring, as the wallpaper used for a screensaver, so after a specified delay the screen would automagically change to that creepy woman.

I did this right after we saw the movie, and totally freaked out my GF.

That would be very new news to me, as well. I think you also just called Erik’s sister a transsexual.

Erik’s sister made up the dyslexic variation on the ketchup joke, not the pun itself. I do get it now, I just didn’t make the connection at first (perhaps because I haven’t heard or thought of that terrible joke for at least a decade).

Dyslexics of the world, UNTIE!

When I was a kid, really inane and bizarre jokes were popular. Like elephant jokes: "Why did the elephant paint her toenails multiple colors? To hide in the M&Ms!" Or even just plain stupid ones "What's red and white and goes 'put put put'? An outboard radish." Looking back, I can't figure that one out to this day. There is a nice little set that still makes me smile though:
"Why do ducks have webbed feet? To stamp out forest fires." "Why do elephants have flat feet? To stamp out burning ducks."

Why do elephants paint the bottoms of their feet yellow?

So they can hide upside-down in the custard.

Have you ever seen an elephant hide in the custard?

Shows how good a disguise it is.

How do you get an elephant in a matchbox?
