I'm not so sure. Just got my second battery pack (actually, it's just the battery of a presently not used MB we have lying around here).

That's a sweet pic hsl. I think there is no better looking lap out there than a blackie. It makes that PB looks ancient.

On impulse I ordered a black one only to cancel it today. I'll hold out for my baseline white model from Amazon. At $999 (after rebate) I can wait.

Again the black looks slick and feels good in hand but that $400 premium... I have a feeling that Apple will introduce a 13", 'pro' black model this year for the same price but with a dedicated graphics chip. Not having a dedicated chip is starting to make the premium highly undesirable.

I think it only appears when you have multiple partitions.

I really think I need to wait for Merom...(Core 2 Duo) and any changes to the Pro line up / a fix for some of these annoying things with the BlacBook. My Ti PB is running too nicely.

Wow....it does. I didn't order the black one, but if I had, I'd be using a mouse as much as possible.

My MacBook is being shipped 3 days early (Tuesday)! Is there any possible way it could be here by Friday or Saturday (assuming FedEx ships on the weekend)? I've never had anything delivered by FedEx.

I missed it, I was at work and my housemates were all sleeping at 10 AM. That's how people are today. However, TNT arranged for me it will be delivered again later today, so I'm now hopefully waiting myself.

The more I see pics of the blackbook, on its own, and especially next to other Apple hardware.. the more I don't like it - I don't like the way its totally different in colour to any other Apple hardware that may be connected to it - cinema display, keyboard, mouse, IR remote etc etc.

I'm sure some people like it, or else I wouldn't be seeing pictures of them in real world situ! Each man to his own I guess..

Well, my Macbook is finally here, came this morning....ordered on the 23rd with 2 day shipping. It's still installing all the updates. One comment: A coolpad is definitely needed.

I agree that it looks out of place with other Appler hardware with exception to the black Nano. However on its own when photographed properly, it looks gorgeous. There are a few very nice photos of it here on Macnn.

When did you order it? I ordered it on Saturday, and I even added to the memory and hard drive.

Yep, I got the same shipping update as well - 2 days from China to the southwest (Arizona). I'm a bit skeptical, but sweet!

Ordered mine yesterday night, maybe 7pm EST. Just got the mid-level model with no upgrades (ordered a bigger HD and more memory from Newegg - $300 for 2gb of ram and a 100gb hard drive).

Somehow I doubt it's getting from Alaska to your door by tomorrow morning.

Oh, and I think our MacBooks are on the same plane. They've got the same times and locations.

Just placed my order for an EDU discounted, CTO white MacBook with a 100 GB HD and 1 gig ram.

We'll see how long it takes.

I can barely sit still, even though I know it won't be coming for a while.

I'm equating it to the anticipation of a birth. My girlfriend told me I'm weird.

I'm not weird. I'm a mac user.

She told me to stop talking about it if we wanted to stay together.

That's why we have these forums, huh?

It's only been 2 hours since I ordered...I need to fall asleep for a week. Someone wake me up when it's here.

We all know the feeling man.

You might want to consider sedatives or IV drugs like Valium to survive the week. But I'll leave that up to you.

You could also take your g/f on a vacation trip and spend some quality time together. When you get back, the MB will be here and she'll at least have some memories while you deal with more important issues.
