Is there a widget that displays application-specific memory usage similar to the unix command top? I found lots that display system memory usage, but I want to know which app it is that is clogging up my system.

iStat Pro is great but it doesn't actually display application specific memory useage - not sure about Nano but i thought it had the same information as Pro.

It's not a widget, but I just ran across a neat menu extra called MemoryCell that should display the info you're looking for from a drop-down menu.

Did you get to memorycell from that nice hint about putting memory usage in window title bars over at Macosxhints? That is what got me on this quest to begin with.

No, I was actually just browsing Rogue Amoeba for random stuff - I've been using their LineIn program to run the audio from my Xbox 360 through my G5.

This thread looked like the "top widget", I thought it was related to the best widget in town...
