Get an online brokerage account. I use ScottTrade, but there are many good ones.

help me understand stock.. so what happens, you buy it at whatever the price is online.. like now its at 125 i think.. so anyways, is that what you buy it at? then when that number goes up, and you sell it you make money?

You buy from someone who wants to sell at a price you are prepared to buy at. Every exchange has a buyer and a seller. If you sell higher than you buy, you make money.

haha the first post was that person's 1 and only post. Thats wierd. I use ameritrade btw. I bought at $18 pre split btw. Yay stock market. Even at $120 I'm WAAAAY up :-D
