Mine took 3 Days;

Called on Monday, got the box on Tues, sent it on Tuesday (home pickup) repaired and shipped back on Wed. and had it back on my hands on Thurs at 10AM...

Great turnaround time if you ask me...

Good luck

If you're in the position to take it back and exchange it for a new one I would go with that idea. If not, I'm not too sure as I was able to exchange it for another one. Hope it's not too long.

Are they actually doing in-person exchanges? My PB is a store-bought model (no custom features), is there a chance I might actually be able to take it to the store and walk out with another one? I would have assumed they make you go through the shipping thing, but if not I'd be much more likely to get it fixed, even if I had to leave it for a few days. I would actually prefer reparing the one I have because I know the rest of the hardware is reliable, but I'd be open to either method if I could do it at the store.

I bought it a while ago (September) but couldn't do anything until my last job ended a few weeks ago. My next job won't require it, so I have some time to let it go, but I'm just afraid to put it in a box and send it off. My white spots are bad and I'd love a perfect PB, it's just so scary sending it into the mail by itself.

Turnaround, 20 minutes.

Why? I support my local reseller. And they support me back by offering to order the part, then calling me when it was in. I came in at a slow time, a tech was able to immediately get to it, so I browsed around while waiting. He finished it up, we check the new screen, then I packed it back up and walked out.

Mine was picked up from home by Apple Japan on Sunday, and delivered back, with a perfect display, on Thursday.

I just sent mine in last night for it's second screen repair. they would be able to send it back today, but they are waiting on a new battery. I didn't think my battery had a problem but if they wanna give me a new one, that's fine with me.

No, I had some very large dark spots that would come and go. also, the screen was brighter on one side than the other and the screen casing was warped.

In all, they are replacing the LCD, LCD casing, latch, keyboard, battery, and giving the PB some sort of alignment.
