The begining of June I posted this thread: http://forums.macnn.com/showthread.php?t=258317

I did not recieve any offers (or inquiries) and this drive is just sitting around. It's a shame that it is not being put to good use.

I would like to go ahead and give this drive away the only thing I ask for is shipping and handling costs.

So PM me with your zip code and I will give you the shipping and handling cost...

Also this is one thing changing from the original thread (besides being free) I will only accept paypal, and the buyer will pay the fees (3% of $5 is only $0.15 so you are only paying like a quarter more to get the item a week sooner)

edit: also after you pm me with your zip code... post a message on this thread so I know who is first, second, third... etc.

Recap of original thread:

I have a Superdrive that I took out of my 867 Quicksilver.

4X DVD read
2X DVD-R write
1X DVD-RW write

24X CD read
8X CD-R write
4X CD-RW write

The reason why I replaced the drive was because I put a faster drive that can rip audio at a much faster rate then this drive; I burn DVDs with the superdrive in my powerbook.

I have not burnt a DVD in the drive in quite a while but the last time I did, it did burn and verify correctly. (this was about 2 - 2.5 years ago)

This drive would be good for someone who wants to try burning some home movies or just get a feel for DVD burning. would be a perfect upgrade for an older powermac G4.

I have ebay feedback at:

please don't hesitate to ask me any questions if you have them.
