I've decided to sell my iBook G3. Here are its specs:

500 MHz. G3 CPU
640 MB RAM(I think, will check)
80 GB HDD (custom installed, of course)
CD-RW Drive
Airport Card

Matching iBook White Macally Power Adapter
Original Apple Battery +
High-Capacity 4800mAh NewerTech battery (with more capacity and life left than a new Apple iBook battery)

Aesthetically it looks good. It has the normal wear and scratches that all iBooks and MacBooks get with time. I have Tiger running on it and it is rock-solid stable, and fast. I'm surprised how well an iBook of this era can handle the latest OS. I have to say this has probably been the most stable Mac I've had.

The only problem I've ever had with this machine are issues with the
DC Board. It seems the logic board may require a reflow, etc., and I'm just not willing to take the risk. I'd probably toast the unit, with my luck.

I'd rather just sell it to someone that can fix it or can deal with having to use only battery power. It will boot off a charged battery just fine. It's AC power that it has a problem with. I have four DC boards which I will ship out with the iBook to whomever wants to try and fix the problem.

I'm offering everything together for $300 $200, plus shipping, including the additional DC boards. If there are enough people interested in different parts, I could just sell it in parts instead.

Price is high... you don't happen to go by another name called "iHarvest" in another forum do you?

Anyways, someone else is selling a 500Mhz iBook G3 for $100 plus shipping... with a slightly damaged yo-yo adapter tip.

Your ibook doesn't charge? How are you able to charge the battery?
2.16 C2D Whitebook, 4Gb RAM
2.0 C2D Whitebook, 2Gb RAM
2.16 C2D iMac
1.83 C2D iMac

No, I do not.

While I could see my price being a little high, I find $100 for a Dual USB G3 iBook on the low side. But anyway, feel free to make me an offer if you're interested.

No, it cannot charge the battery, because it is not receiving current from the AC port (which is the problem). A friend did me the favor of charging the battery in his iBook and that's what I've used to test it. It runs perfectly well with the battery, but won't charge or run off of an electrical outlet.

Yes, they contain Mac OS 9.1 and Mac OS X 10.0.3. You've got a PM from me, BTW.

Also :do you have the original power adapter, too?
Sell or send me your vintage Mac things if you don't want them.
