I have struggled a bit with getting GoLive to recognize FileMaker as the Web Server to begin creating dynamic pages linked to a running FileMaker database. I get errors when attemptng to point GoLive to the FileMaker Web folder containing the site under development.

Trying to do the work on one machine: MacOS 10; FileMaker 5.5; GoLive 6.0.

Any thoughts?

I'm trying to do the same thing, but I'm pretty sure you can't do it directly. You might have to use PHP and mySQL ... pass the data from your FileMaker database into a mySQL database.

At least, this is what I'm trying to do ...

I've got PHP and mySQL running on my server, though I'm not sure where to go from here.

If anyone knows how to pass info from FileMaker to mySQL or if you can use a FileMaker database directly, please let us know.

Cheers,

hc

Okay, answered by own question:

I'm now using ProSQL to easily import tab files into mySQL ... easy enough that anyone else can do it while I'm on holidays.
