Read somewhere that the speech feature on the new OS would be cutting edge, sounds almost real. Do you thing Apple would allow this feature to be used as a voice-over function and save as a high quality sound file to be used as a narration sound file in a HD movie.

Would help small-time or budget video the option of a 'professional-liked' voice-over at next to nothing. Professional voice-over talent are not cheap these days.

It's good... but it's far from perfect.

It's a major upgrade to the older text-to-speach... which was great... for 1993. The new version will be good for many uses, but I doubt it would even approach a professional (or even amateur) voice-over talent.
