It works pretty well on my 733 with Radeon 7500. Just losing a few FPS under the OS 9 version. A big thanks to Blizzard for making this update. OS 9 is now officially history on my Mac.

I'm impressed actually. On a B&W G3/350/896MB RAM, this thing works like it should and keeps me from booting into 9 and play it. Kudos to Blizzard!!

I played it for a few minutes this morning and it seemed to work well. Another reason why Blizzard is my favorite game developer, going all the way back to Warcraft I.

Could you guys post your GPUs, resolution using, and actual FPS?

I get around 12 fps in 640x800 in Open GL w/ my Rage pro. . .I've heard it runs much better in software mode. I haven't checked that yet. As it stands, the Rage pro is too weak for me to play it with enjoyment.

In order to use this you still need to boot OS9.

I could care less about the item editing(on open/single), I just want the monsters to show on-screen...

So, how long do you think it'll be before someone comes up with a maphack for us OSX users?

Yeah, I get much better results in software mode. I have a 500 mhz ti book and at 640x480 I get about 5 fps, turning off everything.

Hooray. Guess I can finally go out and buy Diablo2. This was what held me back from getting it.

How long did U guys play /??
I downloaded it and first off had to turn off Hot App, a preference pane hot key launcher. (in order to access F1, F2, F3 etc)
Then once that was taken care of, it would just crash after 2 or 3 minutes.. can't play much more than that... ;-(

Ooo!

Played for several hours this evening. Went great. No crashes. No glitches. Very cool.

I don't know the FPS number, but I was running 800x600 in software. My creaky old G3 266 with Rage Pro won't do Open GL rendering. (Yes I run X on my G3 266. I quite like it, thank you very much. ) It was probably slower than most of you could stand, but I'm used to this speed. It was not that much slower than under OS 9 using hardware rendering.

The single player works extremely well, Starcraft and D2 are the fastest and most stable games on OS X if you're playing in single player mode. In the multiplayer mode, everything locked up and I had to hit the reboot button, second time I tried, I got time outs after every session I tried to join, and of course it hangs the game (doesn't crash) but I have to wait till the game decides that it wants to log out of the session to do anything else.
