The venerable Renault Fuego is back… in spirit. This car dubbed Laguna coupé is, saw in person, visual viagra. In all honest, I fail to remember a car from a mainstream maker that had made such an impression on me since the smart for two hit the road, and that was ten years ago. So, even when it is a matter of personal taste, here is the beauté.

It is a nice enough from the that angle, because it looks a bit like an Aston Martin, from the front, its all a bit wrong

It'll be much easier if you just comply.

Looks pretty narrow as well. It's a decent design but doesn't spark me much at all.

And it's old news... This car is on sale like 4 months or so... I personally trapped one in sand on the beach in Portugal back in November 08... http://www.flickr.com/photos/hwojtek/3019407285/

Looks like a Ford.
Been inclined to wander... off the beaten track.

240bhp 3.5 V6 petrol (possibly a version of the Nissan 350Z engine)
153mph top speed, 0-60 in 7.4

There's also a 3.0 V6 turbodiesel with similar performance, and 2.0 petrol and turbo diesel versions.

It'll be much easier if you just comply.

It may be that pict… it seems too flat there, but the car looks way better than such picture may suggest. The pict below does justice to it.

It is surprisingly good. The 4-wheel steering doesn't save it from understeer (it's an FWD, after all), but combined with the lighter of the engines, provides a fine feeling. The more powerful engines (both V6's - the diesel, which is great with an auto tranny, and the detuned 350Z's VQ35DE in petrol) are nice for higher speed cruising, but GT-ing is great in the 2.0 turbo nevertheless. Quality interior, great stereo, decent boot space... It's a good car, it's only not supposed to have photos taken on a beach...
