Whoa fellas!

Is there a way to turn off quartz smoothing text on CHIMERA
and MOZILLA?
I have made this on IE 5.2, but I have not found
any option regarding this inside the preferences panel
of these browsers.

Thanks!

You can't in Chimera, that's one of the whole point of having a full Cocoa web browser.

If you find Mozilla slow because of the anti-aliasing, just download the 1.0.0 version instead of the 1.0.1.

Not for me. I turn off antialiasing on all small sized text in Omniweb for example.

My question: Can someone with programming knowlege build us a Chimera .6 w/ small 9 point, toolbar items and the ability to respect system smoothing prefs.

Why don't you file a bug report?

Download the latest nightly (if you can't wait until .7) and check the Preferences.
