this isnt a virus or anything, just a link to a forum thread. some punk ass is typing with the "alt + # # #" and its slowing down my g4 when i go to that page. but anyways, does it lag your computer too?

Hmm...I'm on an iMac 700mhz, and I just checked it out in Safari. Doesn't lag me one bit

Obviously no problems with Safari... apparently Safari v73 (don't know about other versions) can only play one animated GIF at a time.

I think every version has only been able to play one animated GIF at a time.

Technically, there is no way that using special characters can slow down your comp any more than common characters.

And on my blue G3/350, both IE and Safari have no trouble at all with it.

Most likely there was a rotating banner ad on the page that used dumb JavaScript or something, and is now gone.
