We are running an XServe as a file server at our Design office. For some reason, we will encounter the spinning beachball occasionally when trying to access the Server Drives. We had the same issue with our older server once we switched to OSX server.

Has anyone encountered this? Is there something I can do to stop this from happening. It takes about a minute before it finally allows you to take control again and use the drive.

Help!!

No, the energy saver is off. It pauses for different people while others are working from it without problems.
