I have it selected as on in preferences, but i don't hear anything with naim, my aim client. how can I see if its naim or terminal?

I'm running naim inside of screen, with default .screenrc file(blank).

any ideas?

use tcsh, no crazy options or anything though.

Your terminal should beep when you hit 'delete' at the prompt.

To have it beep inside screen put:
vbell off
in your .screenrc

mine doesn't. audible bell is on. i'm not even in screen. terminal.app prefs say audible bell is on. using a powerbook if that matters.

vbell is off, audible bell is on according to screen, and according to terminal.app. wtf is going on here. do powerbooks have the ability to beep? or is it something else?
