It's really hardly a laptop, just a portable desktop that can run with no cords! I know my lap's not big enough for that!

i think there is a market for these machines...but i dont believe its big enough for apple to venture in. lets see them get the mactel 'books goin first, then and only then should we even start talkin about 19" portable desktops.

If you want or want to make a portable desktop that is one thing, but a 19" notebook is just a little bit insane... not it is completely insane. Computers are supposed to be getting smaller and faster; not larger and more cumbersome.

Once Apple completes the switch to Intel processors their will be more stock options. I'm guessing we will see more build-to-order choices, much the way Dell or other companies allow you to choose your screen, processor, resolution, and graphics card.

At 19" a clamshell notebook design is just getting silly. But I think there is a market for luggable machines - something that is easily transported but is only intended to be used on a table/desk while plugged in. The current iMac with an appropriate carrying case is almost there. But I'd want something way cooler from Apple like a fully integrated fold out case or something. I don't know if the Jetson's style folding briefcase is feasible but I think soon we'll start seeing products with this design goal.
